Performance
All Compass models are powered by a new 200-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four that produces 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard across the board. And according to the EPA, the new Compass ishas an estimated 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
Design
The Jeep Compass may look like a typical compact SUV, but its interior is anything but. There's comfortable seating for four, supportive rear seating, and a generous cargo area. Speaking of the cargo area, it was found to hold about 17 carry-on bags with the rear seats folded down. With the seats up, however, the cargo space can only hold about five or six bags.
Technology
The cabin of the Jeep Compass is littered with technology. The base Sport trim offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a six-speaker sound system. While higher trims such as the Limited offer heated front seats, ambient interior lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control. There are even features like heated rear seats and a navigation system, but these are offered in optional packages.
Safety
Every Jeep Compass is built for safety - that's why features like forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure mitigation, and a driver attention warning system are standard. Features like adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, and an automated parking system are also available, but only in the Driver Assist Group I package.
